Packing Services

Time Moving’s packing services include packing all of your small household belongings into the appropriate size boxes and containers, to make them ready and prepared for transport. Packing services are usually scheduled a day or two ahead of your moving date.

It takes the average people 3 -4 hours a day, over a 7-day period to do their own packing. That’s around 24-hours in total time spent on this task, and sometimes more. Consider hiring the professionals. We can provide packing services, and complete the work in about a quarter of the time – approx. 6-hours. This will save you time, energy, and stress so you can focus on more important things.

Packing Services in Victoria, BC

Same as moving – we charge by the hour, plus the cost of boxes and materials etc.

As a general rule, if you are requesting an estimate for a local residential move to include packing; the cost of full-packing services and the boxes and supplies required can be almost equal to the cost of the moving services alone. For example, an estimated $500 move including packing services could bring the cost of the move up to $1,000 (approx).

Please refer to your estimate for details. Any packing you decide to do ahead of time will reduce the costs indicated for that service, on your estimate form (deduct accordingly).

If you choose to do your own packing, it will considerably reduce the cost of your move.

NOTE: A very important, but often ignored, aspect of your move is that of appliance servicing. Most machines or mechanical equipment in your home need to be prepared properly for the move, in order to protect them from internal damage. Examples of articles in your home that require servicing before being moved are washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, stereos, grandfather clocks and waterbeds. All servicing of these articles should be done by a licensed professional. It is the owners responsibility to make arrangements for appliance servicing. Always remember that if any of these articles are not serviced before transportation, they will travel at the risk of the owner for any internal damage that may occur.

Call Time Moving one week before your move to confirm time and date of move.
